She has a proven track record in clinical trial management, advancing sight-saving treatments for patients nationwide.
Leslie spent over a decade as the Director of Clinical Research at Georgia Retina, one of the largest retina-only medical practices in the southeastern United States. There, she spearheaded the growth of the clinical research department, overseeing more than 20 active trials and liaising among physicians, staff, and administration across 14 clinic locations. Most recently, she worked with Lexitas Pharma, an ophthalmic-focused product development partner, helping life sciences companies bring new vision therapies to patients.
Leslie has extensive clinical trial experience in a wide range of ophthalmological conditions, including Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Geographic Atrophy, Macular Edema, Pediatric Myopia, Persistent Corneal Epithelial Defect, Proliferative Vitreo-Retinopathy, Retinal Vein Occlusion, Vitreomacular Traction, and Vitreous Hemorrhage.
Her talent for recruiting and training high-caliber staff, coupled with her expertise in streamlining business processes, has consistently fostered successful relationships with sponsors. Leslie is passionate about delivering robust research outcomes and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University and is certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. She is an active member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and The Junior League of Atlanta. In her spare time, Leslie enjoys traveling and cherishing moments with her husband, two boys, and their dog, Ralphie.
