Jeff Rihn is a highly experienced professional with a diverse portfolio of roles within EyeSouth Partners (ESP) and Scott & Christie EyeCare Associates (SCEA). At ESP, he serves as the Regional Director of Operations for Pennsylvania. Simultaneously, through SCEA, Jeff holds the positions of Regional Director of Operations and Director of Regulatory Affairs at the Eye Research Institute, and Governing Body Member for the Cranberry Surgery Center.
With an impressive 30 years in ophthalmology and 25 years in clinical research, Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge to his roles. Having actively participated in 164 clinical trials with 3500 study subjects, he has established himself as a powerful presence within the ophthalmic field of clinical research.
Jeff’s expertise extends to strategic planning, process improvement, clinical research studies, mentoring future leaders, and driving growth initiatives within ophthalmology. He understands and prioritizes the critical role of data integrity for clinical studies in the drug approval process, emphasizing a culture of issue identification and correction.
Jeff graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Economics. He has also been a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania since 1990.
Outside his professional pursuits, Jeff is a dedicated single dad to two adopted boys, enjoys painting, renovating houses, and antique hunting. Jeff extends his commitment to the community by serving on the board for Mission -Vision, providing mobile eye care to the underprivileged in Pittsburgh.
